Tamia Jordan
Prior to joining ACap, Tamia worked as a financial counselor, providing individual counseling to clients who were experiencing financial hardship. As a counselor, she educated clients on how to identify and correct negative spending patterns that inhibit successful money management, and helped them develop action plans to facilitate the achievement of their financial goals.
While working as a counselor, Tamia realized that the scope in which she was able to assist clients was limited, and she had a strong yearning to do more. This desire led her to pursue a career in financial planning. She completed the Personal Financial Planning program, with Distinction, at UCLA Extension, and later obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Tamia is a graduate of the University of Southern California as well, where she obtained a degree in Communications, with a minor in Business. She is very passionate about educating and empowering clients to become financially healthy and independent, and she has a particular soft spot for young professionals just starting out in their careers.
Tamia is also a licensed driving instructor, and in her “spare” time she enjoys teaching teenagers how to become safe and responsible drivers. Many say she’s brave, but she says she’s just very patient. 🙂
